Friendship of Peoples:
Tashkent, Film, Exchange
"Friendship of Peoples: Tashkent, Film, Exchange" is a project exploring the legacy of the Tashkent International Film Festival of Asia, Africa, and Latin America through "Tashkent 58-88," a curated short film comprising archival footage, essay and research vitrine. This project captures international solidarity, highlighting Tashkent's pivotal role as a cultural nexus in the Global South. Supported by archival materials the project presents a visual narrative complemented by a selection of photographs and artifacts, including pins, posters, festival programs, and literary works. Together, these elements offer comprehensive insights into the festival's rich history and its impact on global cinema.
